These models will appeal to many modellers, including the budget conscious and freelance modellers. Many of Frateschi's locomotives would not look out of place on Australian layouts as fictitious private or industrial operator owned units.
Locomotives have flywheels and 'floating' motors for quiet operation and are made in Brazil.

All trains have NMRA profile wheels fitted (except where noted). Deeper flanged NEM wheels will be available separately for those who prefer them. NEM (Lima style) couplers are fitted to most items, but again, NMRA hornhook (X2F) and mounting blocks are included with some items (mostly the USA models) for fitting X2F or Kadee couplers.
Please note that unlike many NEM couplers, the the Frateschi NEM couplers work very well and can be uncoupled magnetically, including with Kadee^® type magnetic uncouplers.
