Trains are run for the public between12:00pm and 4:00pm on the
fourth Sunday of each month (December - January excepted), weather permitting.
Occasionally trains may also run on other days and times. Check this page for
updates.
At times trains may be running for private functions. Rides for
the public may not be available at these times.
Rides are $2.00 per person and take around 7 minutes.
Please note. As with other miniature railways, health and safety regulations
require that all passengers MUST wear enclosed footwear.
No bare feet, thongs, sandals or other open-toed footwear can be permitted on
the trains.
To avoid disappointment, we do have suitable footwear available at the station to
borrow.

Newman Park Miniature Railway Fees for
private groups: $150 to open for at least 1 hour. Additional hours $100 per
hour.
$100 for birthday parties of up to 20 Children; $180 for 20 - 30 children
and $200 for 30 or more.
All parties are to be held outside GMES track for insurance purposes. Party
rides for one hour. |
The carriages used on our railway run on rails 7¼" apart or 5"
in some cases. Therefore they will tip over if you try to stand on the running
boards. Please note the correct method for getting on the trains is illustrated
below.

Step over the carriage first, do not put your feet on the
running boards - yet.

Be seated.

Now, and only now, you may lift your feet onto the carriage.
Always sit up straight and avoid leaning too far to either side.
