Although the owner of Hobbies Plus has been an O gauge modeller since the early 1980s, the shop has not usually stocked O gauge items due to low demand. However, I have ordered items in for customers when requested.
Recently I have begun to be asked for more O
gauge items and have become aware of more interest locally, and so I will in
future be stocking some items such as Peco track, UK wagon kits etc.
The Y class
The Haskell 1:48 scale ready to run brass Y class is due soon.
Although these are being
offered direct from Haskell in Taiwan, for those preferring to buy in Australia,
Hobbies Plus will be keeping stocks. However, the price will be higher due to
the fact that they shall attract GST in any shipment to the shop.
The price direct from Haskell is $995 including postage. This keeps the price
just under the $1000 GST threshold. This is one of the reasons
for the direct sales of these models.
Price for sales within Australia was originally expected to be $1295.
Final price may be lower, but certainly not higher.
