Although the owner of Hobbies Plus has been an O gauge modeller since the early 1980s, the shop has not usually stocked O gauge items due to low demand. However, I have ordered items in for customers when requested.

Recently I have begun to be asked for more O gauge items and have become aware of more interest locally, and so I will in future be stocking some items such as Peco track, UK wagon kits etc. Check back on this page as it shall be updated regularly for the next few months.
 

And now for something completely different.

The 1:48 O scale Victorian Railways DERM in brass.

Model is DCC ready and has working LED headlights and interior lighting fitted as standard.

Available versions are:-

63RM in VR red with silver stripes as it currently appears preserved at Daylesford. $1595

58RM in the early version of the VR blue and gold livery that appeared in the late 50s when the cars were converted from petrol to diesel. The model has plate pilots which had replaced the rod pilots (cowcatchers) by the 1960s. $1595

59RM in the later (1970s) version of VR blue and gold with brown roof, plate pilots. With minor modifications, this livery remained on the DERMs until withdrawn in the 1990s. $1595.

Unpainted DERM - a very limited number available for those who wish to paint and modify their model to a version not covered by the factory. With only 50 DERMs available for sale, it is not practical to cover every variation of these long-lived machines. $1495.
